Special Entry and Reside Permit
Sells the right to live in the country (a “golden visa”), sometimes leading to citizenship later.
Official name: Barbados Special Entry and Reside Permit (SERP)
Not determinable from official sources. The only amount (US$2m investment plus US$5m net worth, Category 1) comes from a business magazine, and the notes mention a cheaper Category 2 (US$300,000 real estate) with no term row. No official text with thresholds was found.
Notes from the research
Long-term or indefinite residence permit granted by varying permission to stay under s.13(3) of the Immigration Act, Cap. 190. According to practitioner sources (not confirmed officially): Category 1 for investors of US$2m with net worth over US$5m (with work permit eligibility); Category 2 for owners of US$300,000 of real estate (5-year renewable, indefinite from age 60). Launch date and legal instrument not found. Listed by the OECD in 2018 as potentially high-risk for CRS avoidance. No counts found.
