Peru residence as investor (calidad migratoria de residencia 'Inversionista', Decreto Legislativo 1350 art. 29.2(f); Reglamento D.S. 007-2017-IN art. 86)
Sells the right to live in the country (a “golden visa”), sometimes leading to citizenship later.
Notes from the research
Residence status for a foreigner who establishes, develops or manages a lawful investment; the law leaves the amount to the regulation, and Migraciones requires an investment of at least S/ 500,000 made by one international transfer through a supervised bank, for a 365-day renewable stay. Launched 2017-03-01 (DL 1350 creates the 'Inversionista' status); legal basis 1991-12-05: the 1991 Ley de Extranjería (DL 703, published 5 Nov 1991, in force on the 30th day, date computed) put investors in the broader 'Independiente' status; an investor status existed before DL 1350 under the 1991 law and a 2012 procedures text (a 2018 Migraciones appeal decision mentions a US$30,000 investment under D.S. 003-2012-IN; not stored because it names the applicant), and those texts were not read. No counts found.
